Job summary

Experience Senior Living Team in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking a dedicated Medication Assistant to support residents with daily medication reminders and administration under state guidelines.

You will maintain accurate records in our digital platform, coordinate with pharmacies, and respond promptly to resident requests, while upholding hospitality and safety standards in a vibrant care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; or two to four years of related experience and/or training.
• Medication certification as required by state guidelines.
• Must successfully complete the ESL medication competency upon hire and as required by state regulation at a minimum.
• First Aid and CPR Certification if required by state law and/or Company standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders and/or assistance according to state regulations.
• Administers medications as allowed by state guidelines.
• Order and receive medication; ensure medications are available and communicate with pharmacy.
• Maintain resident records in our digital platform daily, including incidents and observations.
• Perform room visits and room checks on a regular basis.
• Assist with resident care when needed and respond to requests promptly.
• Monitor resident safety and communicate changes to Health Director or Wellness Nurse on duty.
• Audit and verify medications residents self-administer and ensure guideline compliance.
