Job summary

Lakeview Personal Care is seeking a Medication Aide to assist licensed nursing staff by administering daily medications as ordered by the physician, in line with nursing standards and facility policies.

The role includes delivering routine medications under supervision, observing for adverse reactions, documenting administration, and ensuring proper handling and storage of medications to maintain resident safety and accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified nursing assistant certification is required.
• Medication aide certification preferred or required as stated.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine daily oral, inhalation and topical medications to residents under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Observe for adverse drug reactions and report problems to the nurse.
• Record medication administration following policies and procedures.
• Follow instructions on medication management and document changes in residents’ condition.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of medications.
• Assist with medication-related tasks as needed.
