Job summary

Mckay-Creek-Assisted-Living is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering prescribed medications to residents under the direction of the nursing leadership. You will follow facility policies, document administrations, and report any errors or adverse reactions promptly.

Qualifications

  • Must possess at least a high school education or equivalent.
  • Licensed Medication Aide through a state-approved program.
  • Ability to read and follow physician orders and nursing procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration.

Responsibilities

  • Follow facility policies governing administration of medications.
  • Note and report errors in medication administration.
  • Prepare, administer, and document oral/topical medications.
  • Maintain accurate medication charts and required forms.
  • Verify resident identity before treatment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
  • Participate in quality assurance and drug safety programs.
  • Coordinate with nursing, physicians, and pharmacists.
