Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications accurately and with dignity. You will administer prescribed medications, observe for changes, and document in MAR/TAR in real time, while maintaining clean carts and safe medication storage.

You’ll follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration, report concerns promptly, and uphold infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
