Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide / Med Tech in Cary, NC to ensure residents receive medications safely, accurately, and with dignity. You will administer meds per physician orders, follow the Six Rights, document in MAR/TAR, monitor residents, and report changes promptly.

Certification in Medication Administration, CPR/First Aid, and a High School diploma or GED are required, with senior care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current Medication Administration Certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
