Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Med Tech in Chesapeake, VA to provide quality resident care and assist with daily living activities. You will help administer prescribed medications, maintain medication carts, and report care concerns to nursing leadership.

The role requires CNA and Med Tech licenses, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must be able to pass all medication cart audits.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and care concerns to RN/LPN or ED.
• Complete medication cart audits and maintain cart.
• Document medication administration in EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
• Communicate resident status and appointments in daily logs.
• Support move-in transition and provide emotional support.
