Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Complete Medication Aide Course required.
• Current CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing required.
• Pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Pass medication cart audits as assigned.
• Attend 4 hours of medication administration education annually.
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Help administer prescribed medications per scope of practice and policies.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Document residency status and changes in the EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
• Support move-in transitions and provide emotional support to new residents.
• Communicate medication needs to HCD and coordinate with pharmacy.
