Job summary

Infinity Healthcare Consulting is hiring a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to administer medications under supervision in a senior care setting. The role requires a current QMA license and a high school diploma, with ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff
• Ability to work independently with flexibility and integrity
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm

Responsibilities

• Administer oral medications, including scheduled meds, under nurse supervision
• Administer PRN meds after nurse authorization and documentation of effectiveness
• Administer inhalers and Nebulizer treatments as directed by nurse
• Apply topical/rectal ointments and eye/ear/nasal meds as ordered
• Perform non-invasive treatments and monitor residents condition
• Observe for adverse drug reactions and report to nurse immediately
• Monitor vital signs and document MAR entries and med distributions
• Report to nurse on duty with updates on patient responses and needs
• Audit medication documentation for accuracy and timeliness
