Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a Medication Copay Assistance Advocate in Missouri to help patients reduce financial barriers to care. You will work with drug donation programs, copay assistance, and patient support tools while aligning with revenue cycle processes to minimize financial toxicity for patients and the hospital.

The role acts as a liaison among departments, manufacturers, insurers, and families to facilitate program enrollment and ensure compliant workflow across the financial services

Qualifications

• Completion of a nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician Education Program is required.
• Associate's Degree in Care Management or related field is required.
• 1+ years experience with revenue cycle or patient assistance programs required.
• Basic knowledge of health insurance pre-certification processes for medications and infusions; CPT and J Codes knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate patients for medication, implant, and skin substitute product donation, copay assistance, and other financial support.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to obtain clinical and financial information for enrollment in assistance programs.
• Utilize tools to track patient assistance dollars, drug replacement, copay assistance, and grants.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve issues and facilitate timely applications.
• Knowledge of medication J Codes, CPTs, and billing units.
• Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Calculate medication dosages using ratio/proportion and unit conversions.
