Job summary

Qualifications

• Essential: 5-7 years of experience in medication access or related role.
• Experience coordinating with clinicians and insurance programs.
• Ability to interview patients and document financial status and required documentation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating the financial circumstances of uninsured or under-insured patients, ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance, and upholding patient confidentiality and dignity.
• Determine eligibility for medication assistance or any available financial aid, collaborating closely with the Clinical Team to optimize the organization's efforts in mitigating unnecessary financial losses linked to high-cost medications.
• Acts as a patient advocate in resolving issues related to medication payment and coverage; conducts thorough patient interviews and reviews health and prescription insurance, financial status, and required documentation.
• Actively seeking clinical information from patient charts as a key responsibility.
• Effective communication with representatives of assistance programs, as well as with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other stakeholders, to maintain enrollment and initiate new programs.
