Job summary

Spectrum Medical Care Center is seeking a Medication Access Coordinator to ensure timely access to medications, bridging insurance operations, pharmacy coordination, and inventory oversight. The role involves working with internal teams and external partners to remove barriers to treatment.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in prior authorizations or pharmacy coordination, with a focus on patient advocacy and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in prior authorization, pharmacy coordination, or medical office operations.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of 340B program operations and Buy & Bill medication workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Submit and track prior authorizations required by insurance.
• Coordinate with pharmacies to ensure medication availability and delivery.
• Manage medication inventory and Buy & Bill processes to prevent delays.
• Coordinate updates between providers and pharmacies.
• Maintain patient records and track authorization expirations.
