Job summary

AmeriPharma in Laguna Hills, CA is hiring a Financial Assistance Coordinator to join the Patient Financial Services team. You will help patients access prescribed medications while minimizing out-of-pocket costs, with a focus on Medicare Part D and billing compliance.

The role requires collaboration with patients, prescribers, and departments to enroll in copay programs, verify eligibility, and navigate insurance.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience with medical or pharmacy billing and Medicare Part D preferred.
• Knowledge of copay assistance programs and foundations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate copay assistance enrollment with patients, foundations, prescriber offices, and other departments.
• Track foundation fund availability and enrolls timely.
• Communicate with patients on available copay programs and status changes.
• Report patients refusing to pay copays or provide financial documentation to the Financial Assistance Supervisor.
• Report patients who do not wish to proceed to Financial Assistance Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
