Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a patient insurance coordinator to educate dialysis patients on insurance options and coordinate applications for Medicare, Medicaid, and other programs. You will collect documents, confirm eligibility, and assist with open enrollment while maintaining accurate patient records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of healthcare-related experience.
• Experience with Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid systems is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Meets with dialysis patients in the assigned region to educate and coordinate insurance options.
• Educates on Medicare, Medicaid, COBRA, and other options; ensures applications are completed.
• Obtains premium statements and signatures from patients; follows up on paperwork.
• Discusses changes in employment or other situations affecting insurance.
• Tracks and resolves issues with claims or indigent waivers as needed.
• Monitors patient insurance information for accuracy and coordinates with Accounts Receivable.
