Job summary

Abode Care Partners is seeking a Billing Specialist to support the revenue cycle, focusing on Medicare Part B, Medicaid, and other payers. You will monitor aging, follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims, and manage denials and appeals while ensuring compliant, accurate billing data.

You will input data into billing systems and Excel, coordinate with the Revenue Cycle Team, and participate in month-end close processes and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related work experience acceptable.
• Minimum of one year billing and/or coding experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; basic internet navigation.
• Ability to work with confidentiality and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly Medicaid, Medicare Part B, and other payer billings and follow up on delinquencies.
• Submit necessary documentation to third party payers per guidelines.
• Enter ancillary and charge data into billing systems and spreadsheets.
• Support Revenue Cycle Team with daily operations and prioritize tasks.
• Assist with month-end close activities and cash reconciliation.
• Prepare disbursement checks for approved expenditures.
• Assist with filing and information tracking; participate in special projects.
