Job summary

CCS Medical is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to manage claims submission and denial resolution for patients across government and private payors. You will work within a billing/collection system, verify supporting documentation, and pursue maximum reimbursement while maintaining confidentiality.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely follow-up, and collaboration with teams. Experience in medical billing and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid rules is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of medical billing/collections experience.
• Knowledge of reimbursement processes and procedures.
• Proficient in basic PC skills (MS Office).
• Organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid and payer rules.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of CCS Medical accounts in the billing/collection system.
• Assess insurance reimbursement to maximize payments.
• Verify documentation before shipment or billing.
• Audit supply configurations against documentation and formulary rules.
• Post payments and adjustments to accounts.
• Resolve credit balance accounts as needed.
• Identify issues and propose process improvements.
• Follow up on all correspondence, including EOBs, and request information as needed.
• Initiate and track appeals; research denials and follow up.
• Make/receive calls to collect outstanding funds from insurers and patients.
• Reduce delinquent accounts and maximize collections.
• Produce reports on trends and problem carriers; propose corrective actions.
• Analyze and correct accounts receivable problems.
• Document all activities thoroughly; maintain confidentiality.
• Meet productivity goals based on accounts touched and dollars collected.
