Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Medicare Direct Sales Representative, Advanced, to respond to inbound calls and online inquiries, nurture leads, and close sales of Medicare health plans in a fast-paced environment.

You will report to the Medicare Direct Sales Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams while adhering to regulatory requirements and company standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED or 1 year of additional relevant experience in lieu of a diploma.
• Requires 5 years of previous experience.
• Requires a Current active Accident & Health Agent or Sickness and Life license with California Department of Insurance
• Requires health insurance sales experience
• Requires Medicare knowledge

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound calls and online inquiries about Medicare health plans.
• Place outbound calls based on leads.
• Complete the sales of products and/or services.
• Support leadership in growing and maintaining the Medicare Direct Sales program.

Your Role

The Medicare Direct Sales team help cultivate, maintain, and build relationships with Blue Shield of California's customers as they navigate through their transition to Medicare. The Medicare Direct Sales Representative, Advanced, will report to the Medicare Direct Sales Manager. In this role you will be responding to inbound calls and online inquiries about Medicare health plans, place outbound calls based on leads, and complete the sales of products and/or services.

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED or 1 year of additional relevant experience in lieu of a diploma
• Requires 5 years of previous experience
• Requires a Current active Accident & Health Agent or Sickness and Life license with California Department of Insurance
• Requires health insurance sales experience
• Requires Medicare knowledge
• Requires basic job knowledge of systems and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education
• Knowledge of Blue Shield of California products/services and eligibility requirements, highly desirable
