Job summary

Oak Street Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Patient Relations Analyst to educate patients about Medicare programs, resources, and affordable coverage options, helping them access care and stay engaged with the healthcare system.

You will serve as the clinic's insurance expert, navigate patient bills, support the care and outreach teams, and assist during Open Enrollment, reporting to the Associate Patient Relations Manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to navigate multiple computer programs including Gmail, Word/Docs, and Excel.
• US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with navigating medicare and insurance issues including coverage, benefits, eligibility and maximizing their plan.
• Serve as an internal resource in the clinic on insurance questions for providers and staff.
• Help patients navigate the healthcare system and resolve medical bills, advocating for the patient.
• Educate patients on applying for public benefits and Extra Help for prescriptions.
• Support clinic management with scheduling and billing and provide exceptional customer service.
• Foster patient engagement through events like center tours and maintain strong patient trust.
