Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Patient Relations Analyst to educate patients about Medicare programs, resources, and affordable insurance coverage options to increase access to care and retention. You will serve as the clinic's insurance expert and advocate for patients navigating Medicare and related bills.

The role reports to the Associate Patient Relations Manager or Practice Manager and requires strong customer service, coordination, and the ability to educate patients on public benefits and

Qualifications

• Computer skills to navigate Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, Excel.
• US work authorization required.
• Bachelor degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with navigating medicare and insurance issues including coverage, benefits, summaries, eligibility and maximizing their plan.
• Serve as internal resource in the clinic on insurance questions for providers and staff.
• Help patients navigate the healthcare system and resolve medical bills inside and outside Oak Street Health; advocate for the patient.
• Gain trust of Oak Street Health patients to advise on healthcare coverage.
• Manage welcome visit and orientation for new patients.
