Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Patient Relations Analyst to educate patients about Medicare programs and affordable insurance options, increasing access to care and retention. The role Advocates for patients by helping navigate insurance choices and bills, reporting to the Sr Patient Relations Manager.

Strong communication and CRM comfort are valued. The analyst collaborates with clinicians and outreach teams, supports enrollment during Open Enrollment, and contributes to a positive patient

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills with common programs (Gmail, Word/Docs, Excel).
• US work authorization required.
• Demonstrates an 'Oaky' attitude and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with navigating Medicare and insurance issues including coverage, benefits, summaries, eligibility and maximizing their plan effectiveness.
• Serve as an internal resource in the clinic on insurance questions for providers and staff.
• Help patients navigate the healthcare system, resolve medical bills inside and outside Oak Street Health, advocating for the patient.
• Gain the trust of Oak Street Health patients to properly advise them in their healthcare coverage.
• Manage the welcome visit and orientation process for new Oak Street Health patients.
• Educate patients on applying for public benefits and Extra Help for prescription drugs.
• Support clinic management on operational activities including scheduling and billing.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Foster patient engagement through events like center tours.
• Other duties as assigned.
