Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Transport Logistics Facilitator to coordinate emergent and non-emergent medical transportation within the Capacity Coordination Center. The role collaborates with Bed Management, ED leadership, clinical staff and ambulance vendors to improve timeliness and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include triaging transportation needs, dispatching ambulance resources, and maintaining proficiency with Epic and StatCall.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as an EMT/paramedic or 2 years of dispatch experience.
• Active EMT/paramedic certification or IAE D certification; CT Telecommunications Certification within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and triage patient throughput and outbound medical transportation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Bed Management, Emergency Department, staff and ambulance vendors.
• Dispatch YNHHS ambulance resources efficiently to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain knowledge of Epic and StatCall systems and hospital geography.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings and support organizational goals.
