Job summary

Yale New Haven Health seeks a Transport Logistics Facilitator to coordinate emergent and non-emergent medical transportation between YNHH facilities. The role works within the Capacity Coordination Center to improve timeliness and efficiency of outbound transport and to satisfy internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include triaging transport requests, coordinating with Bed Management, ED staff, and ambulance vendors, and dispatching resources.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years as an EMT or paramedic, or two years of dispatch experience.
• Strong ability to triage in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent prioritization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Patient throughput coordination with departments and ambulance vendors.
• Develop relationships with bed management, ED staff, and vendors to ensure timely transport.
• Dispatch ambulance resources with appropriate patient info and destinations.
• Maintain knowledge of computer systems and dispatch equipment supporting medical transport.
• Attend meetings and trainings to support organizational goals.
