Job summary

Yale New Haven Health seeks an EMT-Paramedic to provide high-quality pre-hospital care and transportation in a professional, compassionate manner. The role involves evaluating calls, operating vehicles safely, delivering advanced medical care, and maintaining licenses and certifications in line with clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• Two years EMS experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates each call situation and determines best course of action.
• Safely operates Company vehicles at all times.
• Ensures seat belts are used and patients properly secured.
• Provides advanced medical care using defibrillator, EKG, oxygen, and other procedures as required.
• Develops triage skills to provide efficient on-call service.
• Communicates with receiving facility for medical direction and information.
• Keeps unit clean, stocked, and ready for calls.
• Documents activities for each call and maintains records.
