Job summary

Northside Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist II to develop and monitor laboratory test systems and to perform and interpret tests for neonatal through geriatric patients in a high-standard clinical setting in Georgia.

You will work across multiple age groups and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Qualified candidates have a BS or AAS in lab science with MT/MLS certification and color acuity screening.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Eligible for certification examination (ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)).
• Associate degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology with MT/MLS certification.
• Military program graduate with MT/MLS certification.
• Grandfathered Medical Technologist with MT/MLS certification and 1 year clinical lab experience; Color-Acuity screening required.
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

The Medical Technologist II develops and monitors test systems and performs and interprets laboratory tests for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution and applicants must be eligible for an appropriate certification examination.
• Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR

• Associates Degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR

• Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist
• Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR

• Grandfathered Medical Technologist by having previously qualified as a technologist on or before February 28, 1992 and current certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist. 1.Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW
