Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist II to develop and monitor test systems and perform and interpret laboratory tests for patient care across all ages. This position is scheduled for the 2:00PM-10:30PM shift in our metro Atlanta laboratory.

Qualified applicants will hold a bachelor's or associate degree in a clinical laboratory science, be eligible for certification (ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS), have at least one year in a clinical lab, and succeed in a color-acuity screening

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution and applicants must be eligible for an appropriate certification examination.
• Associates Degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

• Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)
• Associates Degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)
• Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist

• One (1) year experience in a clinical laboratory
• Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.
• Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test
