Northside Hospital, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician to perform and interpret laboratory tests across neonatal to geriatric patients in the Clinical Laboratory, supporting accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

REQUIRED: associate degree in laboratory science or medical technology, or military program with MLT certification; color-acuity screening; eligibility for certification (ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS).

• Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology, or Military Program graduate with MLT certification.
• Must submit to Color-Acuity screening test.
• Eligible for certification exam (ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS).

Responsibilities

Performs and interprets laboratory tests in the Clinical Laboratory for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Associates degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution OR Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Lab Technician. Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.
• Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test
• Applicants must have completed (or be eligible for) an appropriate certification examination
  • Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

PREFERRED

• Experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting
