Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform and evaluate laboratory tests across transfusion services, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, and more. The role includes ensuring specimen integrity, quality control, and timely reporting of results.

Responsibilities cover calibration of instruments, training staff, and complying with CAP standards in an acute care setting. Rotating weekends and holidays apply with a day shift schedule starting early morning.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or related field is required.
• Certification/licensure within 1 year is expected or required per role.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests as authorized within established protocols.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts to complete work in a timely manner.
• Ensures proper labeling, specimen collection, and testing accuracy across departments.
