Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Licensure/certification within 1 year: MT/MLS (ASCP BOC) or AMT per job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests per established protocols and adjusts workflow to complete work timely.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and follows reporting policies.
• Performs and documents calibration, maintenance, and repair of instruments.
• Documents QA/QC and takes corrective actions as needed.
• Collects specimens from newborn to adult patients according to protocol.
• Provides training and supervision to technicians, phlebotomists, and staff as assigned.
• Supports accreditation requirements and disease-specific goals with timely results.
• Supports critical care testing and transfusion services during high acuity events.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care appropriate to patient age groups.
