Advocate Health is hiring for a Laboratory Technologist in a full-time 3rd shift role (10:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will perform and monitor a range of transfusion and general laboratory tests, ensure accurate results, and support staff across departments in a fast-paced acute care setting. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology, MT/MLS or AMT certification within 1 year, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• ASCP MT/MLS or AMT certification within 1 year.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• No experience required.

Responsabilités

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests as authorized within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports findings per policy.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments and equipment.
• Documents quality control and quality assurance activities and corrective actions.
• Collects and labels specimens; supports training and guidance of staff and students.
• Supports quality improvement and compliance with accreditation standards.
