Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist to provide expert laboratory testing and champion accuracy in patient results. You will support a collaborative team, ensure timely processing, and uphold documentation standards.

Requirements include an Associate degree (Bachelor’s preferred), 1+ year MT experience, and Florida licensure or eligibility. Specialties in Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, or Microbiology are valued.

Qualifications

• Two-year/Associate degree required; four-year/Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist preferred.
• Florida Technologist License required or ability to obtain during interview.
• Licenses in one or more clinical specialties (Generalist highly preferred): Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing per instructions and time frames.
• Take responsibility for department in supervisor’s absence.
• Complete all records/documentation for patient results.
• Perform stat procedures within turnaround targets.
• Exercise good judgment in interpreting patient results and perform delta checks.
