HCA Florida JFK North Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. The role focuses on accurate, timely testing, documentation, and interpretation of patient results, with leadership coverage in the absence of the supervisor.

Qualified candidates will hold an associate or bachelor’s in Medical Technology, Florida licensure or licensure eligibility, and experience in one or more clinical areas such as blood bank, serology, hematology or microbiology.

Qualifikationen

• A 2 Year/Associate Degree is required.
• A 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of MT experience preferred.
• Florida Technologist License required or ability to obtain during interview.
• Licensure in one or more clinical specialties (Generalist highly preferred).
• Specialties: Blood bank, Serology, Hematology, Microbiology.

Aufgaben

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing per instructions.
• Assume department lead in the supervisor's absence.
• Complete required records/documentation for patient results.
• Perform stat procedures within turnaround time targets.
• Use good judgment in interpretation of results and delta checks.
• Review logs and resolve workload with staff relief.
• Conduct quality control procedures per protocol.
