Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory professional to perform and interpret a variety of tests within Molecular Diagnostics. You will follow established protocols, ensure quality control, and maintain accurate records to support patient care.

Ideal candidates hold an MLT or higher degree, ASCP certification preferred, and have the ability to troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation. Day shift, full-time with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in clinical lab science (MLT) or Bachelor’s in sciences.
• ASCP certification as MLT/MT preferred.
• Experience with high complexity testing per CLIA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs and interprets various chemical, microscopic, and/or bacteriologic tests to aid in diagnosis.
• Follows established protocols to perform tests and ensures quality control.
• Maintains accurate records and troubleshooting for equipment and instrumentation.
• Interprets results in the context of patient history and clinical condition.
