Job summary

UMass Memorial Health Marlborough laboratory is seeking a skilled medical technologist to perform a variety of tests and report data for patient diagnosis and treatment. The role involves autonomy within Hematology II, Chemistry, Blood Bank and Microbiology areas, with no supervision for specimen processing.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's in Medical Technology, ASCP MT preferred, and at least three years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of an accredited four-year school of Medical Technology.
• ASCP certification as an MT is preferred.
• Three years of related experience.
• Must Qualify as a General Supervisor under the CLIA regulations for high-complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of laboratory tests and reports data for the use in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Performs testing accurately and completely following Policies & Procedures in the Hematology II Section.
• Operates and maintains instrumentation and ensures adequate supplies.
• Rotates to Marlboro Campus Lab- Medical Center and travels between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as scheduled.
