Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technologist for the IL Central Lab: Core Lab. The role covers 3rd shift, 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

The pay range is $28.55–$42.85 per hour, and the position requires MT/MLS certification within 1 year or AMT MT certification within 1 year. The incumbent will perform and evaluate laboratory tests, ensure accuracy of results, and support proficiency testing, compliance, and quality control in a high-volume

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or related field.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and follows reporting policies.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments and equipment.
• Maintains quality control and quality assurance per protocol.
