TalentBurst is seeking a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week onsite contract in Winston-Salem, NC. Night shift 12 hours, 3 days per week, telemetry and med-surg responsibilities with on-call, cross-unit flexibility, and a focus on patient-centered care.

Floating Requirements: 8 Reynolds, 8 North, 9 North A/B, ACE, 10 Ardmore, 8 North-B, 8 Ardmore

Weekend Rotation: EOW

Unit Information:

• Beds: 24

Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years MST

Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes, dependent on experience. Must have a strong background in MST

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• General Medicine - DM, GI, Resp, Renal, Wounds/Dressing Changes, chest tubes, trachs, lab draws required

Patient Ratios:

• RN: 5-6:1
• CNA: 8:1

Required Licensure & Certifications:

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement)

Skills required:

• Ability to provide direct and indirect patient care, strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, solid written and oral communication skills, ability to tolerate moderate to high stress levels, and experience reading telemetry stripso Chest tubes, traches, PIV starts, drain & tubes, PCA pumps
• Gtts management – Amiodarone (occasionally), Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Dilaudid PCA, Heparin

• CNA: Duties – Provides basic nursing care to assigned patients and assist RN where needed
