Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel seeks a Medical Support Technician I to handle phone calls, assist with patient records, and support inpatient admissions and discharges. You will coordinate with nursing, medical staff, and Case Management to ensure smooth workflows in a rural Alaska setting.

The role requires a high school diploma and preferably one year of public-facing experience; strong English communication is essential, Yup’ik language is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience dealing with the public is preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing; Yup’ik language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones and routes calls to appropriate department or party.
• Facilitates the in-patient admit and discharge process.
• Assists nursing and medical staff with creating and maintaining patient records.
• Communicates patient care needs with other departments.
• Assists the Case Management Team with various office duties.
