Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization serving nearly 30,000 people across rural southwest Alaska. Bethel, the regional hub, hosts the region's only hospital.

The role answers scheduling telephones, schedules, cancels or reschedules patient appointments using guidelines or routes calls to the appropriate department. You will assist the Case Management Team with various office duties in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience in a position that requires dealing with the public preferred.
• Previous switchboard experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Yup’ik speaker preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers scheduling telephones and schedules patient appointments.
• Cancels or reschedules appointments per Scheduling Guidelines or routes calls to appropriate department.
• Assists the Case Management Team with various office duties as assigned.
