Job summary

Concentra in El Paso, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to perform routine medical testing, prep patients for exams, and support registration and referral tasks. You will ensure accurate documentation and deliver a compassionate, compliant patient experience in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant, or military medical specialist experience with valid state credentials.
• Six months or more of medical assistant experience required.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology; occupational medicine knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Handle front and back office duties: greet patients, check in/out, document accurately.
