Job summary

Concentra, Inc. is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to perform routine medical procedures, patient prep, and front/back office tasks. You will support clinicians, manage specimens, and help maintain a smooth patient flow while delivering high-quality care.

The role emphasizes accuracy, discretion with PHI, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced, compliant environment. Training and monthly competency updates are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or at least one year of direct patient care experience as a MA.
• Six months or more of medical assistant experience is typically expected.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology is essential.
• Occupational medicine knowledge is preferred (state-specific).

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and required ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
• Handle routine medical procedures and triage emergent patients as needed.
• Assist with procedure setup and injury care; apply dressings and splints as ordered.
