Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas coordinates Medical Staff Services activities to help the Medical Staff follow Bylaws, Rules, JCAHO standards, and other accreditation and licensing agencies.

The coordinator implements credentialing programs, monitors compliance, maintains confidential credential files and the EMR staff database, and acts as liaison between staff and management while mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in medical staff services or credentialing.
• CPMSM or CPCS certification preferred; eligibility within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Medical Staff credentialing to meet bylaws and accrediting standards.
• Monitor credentialing to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain confidential credential files and EMR database.
• Serve as liaison between staff and management and mentor staff.
