Job summary

Prime Healthcare Medical Group in Olympia Fields, IL is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to support the Medical Staff Office. You will manage credentialing applications, reappointments, and competency proctoring while coordinating with physicians and hospital leadership.

The role requires an associates degree (or equivalent), CPCS preferred, and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication and writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• CPCS preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years technical/administrative experience in Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Must have strong computer, communication, and writing skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies.
• Interfaces with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner.
• Responsible for assigned Medical Staff Departments as assigned by Director/Manager.
