Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to manage centralized credentialing for the Medical Staff, including pre-applications, initial appointment, annual review, reappointment, proctoring, and privileging in line with regulatory and Joint Commission standards.

You will verify background checks, licenses, and education, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with leadership to ensure accurate, current data in the credentialing system at the Main Campus Medical Staff Services

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in healthcare administration or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in Medical Staff Services preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate initial appointments, reappointments, and privileging.
• Run background checks, DEA checks, license checks, and reference checks.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance with bylaws and Joint Commission standards.
• Prepare reports and respond to inquiries.
