Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a Medical Staff Service Specialist to assist the Medical Staff Services Coordinator across credentialing, privileging, onboarding, and regulatory compliance. This full-time role focuses on credentialing workflows and transition to MD Staff, ensuring proper processes and documentation.

You will help with onboarding, meeting minutes, CME tracking, and maintaining provider certifications, while supporting a compliant medical staff office environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical staff services or credentialing.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining documents/verification for initial appointment and reappointment including credentials, licensure, education, training and experience.
• Transition from current paper process to MD Staff.
• Support onboarding and new provider orientation.
• Medical staff office coverage of Medical Staff Meetings including preparing minutes.
• Track essential provider documents including Missouri medical license, BNDD, DEA and other required certifications.
• Tracking of provider CME
• Confirmation of maintenance of malpractice coverage
• Other tasks as assigned by the Medical Staff Service Coordinator
