Job Summary:

The Medical Services Coordinator serves as a point of contact to coordinate medical care, support patients and psychiatric clinicians, and ensure quality customer service to both in-person and remote patients and clinicians.

Compensation: $19.75 - $20.75/hour

Location: 1007 Church St UNIT 312, Evanston, IL 60201


Duties/Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:
  • Create a positive work environment; support in-office clinicians and staff, and promote LFST culture and engagement activities.
  • Provide strong customer service by responding promptly to patient needs and managing potentially difficult situations.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, clinicians, and patients to support patient care and satisfaction.
Patient Support:
  • Assist clinicians with patient care tasks such as authorizations, lab orders, and paperwork like FMLA.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, medical staff, and pharmacies.
  • Manage phone systems, answer inquiries, and support telehealth access and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure accurate patient pharmacy information and document correspondence in the EHR.
  • Coordinate external referrals and handle urgent patient requests.
Clinician Support:
  • Support clinicians with administrative tasks and patient inquiries.
  • Assist in patient termination processes as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMRs.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or a related field preferred.
