Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, and coordinating specialist appointments for patients.
  • Collecting patient balances, copays, and credit cards at time of service.
  • Reviewing lists of patients who need appointments and calling to schedule when due.
  • Verifying demographics and insurance carrier information for every patient.
  • Assisting patients with Kiosk sign in.
  • Complying with OSHA and DOH standards.
  • Scheduling, coordinating, and tracking STAT patient referrals and pre-authorizations.
  • Adhering to Brown Health Medical Group Primary Care guidelines for protecting patients’ demographic, clinical and financial information.
  • Providing superior customer service and outstanding patient care.
  • Attending meetings/workshops as they relate to current position and office workflows.
  • Performing other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

Assist physicians in providing high-quality patient care, while exhibiting strong customer service skills to all patients and the overall practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out from their appointment and coordinating specialist appointments for patients

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC KNOWLEDGE

High school diploma required. Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology required. Must be very organized. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of patients and families.


EXPERIENCE

Six months' experience in a medical office.


PAY RANGE

$18.13-$29.90
