Job description

The Medical Scribe is responsible for documenting patient data into electronic health records systems, assisting with patient care, and performing related administrative tasks in the clinic to enhance provider efficiency and productivity.

This part-time (0.9 FTE) position works Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm, with occasional evenings and weekends at our Orthopedic Urgent Care. The role involves travel between our Maple Grove, Plymouth, and Robbinsdale locations.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is a division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of physician-led local medical practices committed to empowering patients in their healthcare.

Essential Functions:

• Work alongside providers to document patient data during visits
• Ensure accuracy of entered information
• Follow coding requirements during data entry
• Retrieve patient visit data as needed
• Assist with preparing exam rooms, stocking supplies, and patient preparation
• Support procedures such as x-rays, cast applications, and dressing changes
• Handle prescriptions with provider approval and communicate with pharmacies
• Assist with medical orders and clinical paperwork
• Manage scheduling and patient communication tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments preferred

• Starting pay varies based on experience
• $1,500 sign-on bonus with 12-month commitment (internal applicants excluded)
