Job Overview

The Medical Scribe is responsible for documenting patient data into the electronic health records system, assisting with patient care, and performing related administrative tasks in the clinic to enhance provider efficiency and productivity.

This full-time position supports our Edina Crosstown, Eagan, and Eden Prairie locations with the following schedule:

• Monday - 6:45 am - 5:00 pm
• Tuesday - 6:45 am - 3:15 pm
• Wednesday - 12:45 pm - 5:00 pm
• Thursday - 6:45 am - 4:00 pm
• Friday - 6:45 am - 1:00 pm

Twin Cities Orthopedics is part of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a physician-led group dedicated to empowering patients in their healthcare decisions.

Essential Functions

• Document patient data during visits in electronic health records
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with coding requirements
• Retrieve data related to patient visits as needed
• Assist with preparing exam rooms, patient data collection, and x-ray preparation
• Support provider tasks such as applying casts, assisting with prescriptions, injections, dressings, and medical equipment
• Enter medical orders into the system under provider supervision
• Manage medical supplies and assist with paperwork and scheduling
• Handle patient communication and other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and assessments preferred

• Starting pay varies based on experience and skills
• $1,500 sign-on bonus with a 12-month commitment (internal applicants excluded)
