Job summary

Oroville Hospital is seeking a Medical Scribe to annotate in the Electronic Health Record under the supervision of physicians. You will document patient symptoms, history, and exams, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

You will accompany providers during examinations, transcribe orders, and maintain thorough, organized records while upholding confidentiality and patient care standards. This role requires attention to detail and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Typing speed 40 WPM with accuracy.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology required.
• Completion of early college coursework in health fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transcribes and annotates in the EHR under physician/clinician supervision.
• Document patient symptoms, history, and exam details in real time.
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation for designated codes.
• Assist in lookup of past medical records and test results.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional interaction with providers and patients.
