Job summary

ScribeAmerica seeks on-site medical scribes to document patient visits in real time, assisting doctors by recording histories, exams, and treatments. You’ll review labs, ensure chart accuracy, and support the team while following HIPAA guidelines.

Training through Scribe University is provided, with career growth opportunities and flexible scheduling. Roles include both full-time and part-time positions across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Ability to stand, sit and use a computer for several hours.
• Access to a laptop (provided after training).
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Document patient visits in real time alongside doctors.
• Record patient history, exams, and treatments.
• Review and track lab and test results.
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate.
• Follow HIPAA and other rules to keep records secure.
• Send and organize documents for doctor review.
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow‑ups.
• Help keep the clinic running smoothly.
