Job summary

The ideal candidate will transcribe data quickly, maintain patient confidentiality, and be proficient with Care Connect, Epic, and popular office software. Training is available as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain a neat and accurate filing system.
• Communicate professionally in person, by phone, and email.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Practice CI-CARE.
• Use a computer with Word, Outlook, Excel, and Care Connect.
• Operate fax, scanner, and copy machine.
• Enter data into the EMR with speed and accuracy.
• Scan documents and catalogue patient records.
• Maintain a standard work schedule.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Flexibility in work schedules and locations.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe medical data quickly and accurately during patient visits.
• Prepare electronic charts for new and established patients.
• Enter referring doctors' contact information and relevant medical data.
• Keep the physician moving in the clinic to maintain throughput.
• Review records for spelling, grammar, and completeness before signing.
• Be familiar with the clinic's EMR system and assist with training.
• Complete all return-to-work and school forms as required.
