Job summary

• Ability to proofread very detailed materials and monitor work accurately.

• Knowledge and skill in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and basic database software.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe medical data quickly and accurately during patient visits.
• Prepare charts of upcoming patients by entering referring doctors and other contact information.
• Enter and organize medical information relevant to each office visit.
• Record patient history, symptoms and complaints prior to visits.
• Provide feedback on data entry errors and ensure records are complete before physician review.
• Assist in keeping physicians moving in the clinic during hours.
• Complete return-to-work and return-to-school forms as required.
• Assist in abstracting, scanning, and cataloging paper records into the electronic system.
